I've actually shot all 18144 flash icons on the portal banner and it took me over six hours to finish! (Not counting breaks that is). I shot in bursts averaging 1 shot per second. At the rate you were going it would take more than half a day to finish the job. Oh, there was no second bus after the last kill,instead there there was this message as you see in the quotes adove.

Your idea is so good it should replace the existing banner game! :-D
